I’m just finishing my Shilajit, and it seems truly remarkable. As an older person (77) who has gone through both heart surgery and cancer, I struggle to maintain my energy stores and good mood. After taking this product pretty much daily, I notice a growing flow of energy throughout the day, a kind of internal coalescence, and a very positive demeanor (along with increased curiosity about my many interests, both intellectual and physical). After experimenting with various ways of taking it, I prefer to roll up a little ball a bit smaller than a pea, and letting it dissolve under my tongue. Some folks complain about the taste but I enjoy it; it’s earthy bitterness somehow seems the taste of health. A caution: despite the fact that the energetic qualities of Authentic Shilajit are devoid of “buzz”, it can cause a certain degree of insomnia (early awakening) if taken too late in the day. I just purchased my second canister of Shilajit from DHUHA after highly doubting that the first would really do anything. I’ve felt “off” for years. I work out, eat well and get a decent amount of sleep, but would still wake up feeling heavy. It took about two weeks of consistent use before I started to feel clear and alert. I honestly can’t tell you why it’s working, but it’s clearly replacing or providing something that my body is lacking. My wife can even notice if I forget to take it. “Have you taken your Shilajit” is now an inside joke. It’s really coming in handy since we had our first child earlier this year. It’s definitely helping to keep my energy levels up and my focus at work now that I’m running on little sleep. (PS I like to mix my full days’ dose (3 mini scoops) with hot water and a tiny bit of coconut oil, since it absorbs better with fat, and sip throughout the day.
